Doolittle Bar

The Doolittle Bar at Parknasilla Resort in Kerry is bursting with stories from the guests who have passed through during the hotel's long history. It is a place for joyous laughter, relaxation, impromptu sing songs beside the piano, clinking glasses, celebrations and precious moments of family time.

The bar of this Kerry hotel is beautifully decorated in traditional style with dark wood, crimson and green furnishings. A cold Irish day is the perfect excuse to curl up next to the crackling real fire with a hot whiskey or creamy Irish coffee and a good book from our selection in the library. On warm summer days the adjoining patio is full of guests sipping cool refreshing drinks and local beers and breathing in the fresh sea air. For a light bite or lazy lunch the Doolittle Bar is a great spot with idyllic views of the lapping waters of Kenmare Bay and Parknasilla Resorts lush grounds.

Evening time is when the Doolittle Bar truly comes alive with guests buzzing with conversation. Local and international beers, fine wines, aged whiskeys and delicious mixed drinks are poured to perfection by our expert bartender. The true Kerry wit emerges as laughter and singing begins next to the old piano. Then after a final night cap guests can retreat to the sanctuary of their spacious rooms.

Our expert chef's menus boast imaginative creations highlighting the best in modern Irish and international cuisine, accompanied by the finest selection of wines. All menu items rely on locally sourced, Irish produce including freshly caught fish, local farm vegetables and prime Irish meat.
Our wine list has been carefully selected to complement the menus and to ensure there is something to suit all palates.

Begin your day in the Pygmalion Restaurant at Parknasilla Resort with our delicious breakfast. We offer a wide selection from hot Irish favourites like warming porridge and a traditional fry to continental style items including light and crisp pastries and a selection of fresh fruit complemented by delicious hot Irish tea or a creamy cappuccino.

Family Dining
For those travelling with children, we offer a special sitting for children from 5-5.30pm. All menu items are focused on healthy yet tasty options. We can then arrange a babysitter and evening entertainment to keep the little ones happy for the evening.
